Do you find it hard to go to sleep?  Or wake in the early hours and can’t get to sleep again? 

Do you long to feel refreshed when you wake in the morning?  Does your mind feel like it’s on a hamster wheel?  Is your body tense and achy? 

Are you looking for ways to help you Sleep Well?


A holistic approach to looking at sleep health considers its physical, energetic, mental, emotional & spiritual aspects.  In this introductory workshop we will touch into all of these layers whilst focusing in particular on the physical, energetic & mental layers.

This exploration of sleep health also builds resilience and health in the whole mind and body.  So, the benefits are likely to ripple out into other aspects of our lives.

We’ll look at the science of sleep and stress, focusing on re-tuning the body to the circadian rhythms to gradually restore natural patterns of sleepiness and wakefulness.   We’ll use physical mindful Yoga practices, breath awareness, sitting mindfulness practices.  Firstly, to release tension and signal to the brain to feel safe and relaxed.  Secondly, to provide re-charge practices to replace ‘that extra cup of coffee’ to keep us going.  We’ll also look at our daily habits that might be fuelling the sleepless patterns that challenge us.

For those that would like some ongoing support and to deepen the learning, Sally is offering two further workshops.  The invitation is to take some time to put new habits in place and see what works for you.  Then come back and reflect with the support of others to learn some more skills.

The following two sessions will develop the physical, breath and mindfulness practices and add in self-acupressure.  We will look at the role emotions play in agitating our mind and how to cultivate a wise relationship with them, so they become our guides rather than our saboteurs.  We will also touch on the spiritual, the inner listening and attuning to our deeper needs.

Each session will have accompanying notes and audios of practices.

Sally is a Mindfulness Facilitator and Yoga Teacher.

Sally has been teaching Yoga and Meditation for 19 years and Mindfulness for the last 6 years after a thorough 4 years of training with the Mindfulness Association. She is on the UK listing of Mindfulness Teachers and regularly teaches the 8 week Mindfulness and Compassion Courses.

Sally suffered from chronic fatigue in her early 20s. This drew her to body awareness based practices including Trauma-Informed Yoga and learning about nervous system regulation. She brings a depth of experience to facilitating groups and individuals with chronic illness, pain and fatigue. Mindfulness and movement underpins her work in organisations specialising in recovery from addictions and mental health. She also offers training in workplace resilience.

She runs regular classes in Mindful Yoga including Chair Yoga and enjoys leading workshops and retreats weaving Mindfulness and movement with themes from the natural world.
