A day of Yoga with live music and mandala making
with Sally Roach & Gordon Sharp
at Gallery 45, Felton
Sunday 27th November 10.30 – 3.30 pm
‘Stillness is not the absence of energy, life, or movement. Stillness is dynamic. It is unconflicted movement, life in harmony with itself, skill in action… when you are wholeheartedly present with whatever you are doing.’ Eric Schiffman.
Inspired by these words and the call of this season, we invite you to join us to rest, reflect and renew. To explore the stillness in movement and movement in stillness, through yoga asanas, breathwork, meditation and mandala making. With sound and in silence.
We’ll spend the morning using Scaraveilli-inspired Yoga to connect with our bodies, supported and accompanied by live music including sitar. After lunch we’ll continue to explore the theme by creating Mandalas. A Sanskrit word meaning circle.
No artistic ‘ability’ is needed only a willingness to express ourselves through the potential of colour, shape & energy held by the form of the circle.
Please bring lunch to share. Beverages & biscuits provided.
Cost of £35.00. Concessions available.
